We promised lighter versions of the Recappone, so here it is: the first Recappino 2026, to tell what we are doing at Rawr.
These first months were used to get our ideas back in order... but also our studio! To do this, we relied on Valter — Chris's father and a retired carpenter — who helped us create custom-made furniture designed precisely for the space in which we work every day: a separate bookcase and a piece of furniture dedicated to the 3D printer.

And yet we felt that something was still missing, a real upgrade... so for Rawr's 2nd birthday we got ourselves a super gift: the foosball table. You can imagine what the main activity has now become during the lunch break and now you also know when is the best time to visit us.

The collaboration with Rotel HiFi for the design of their new amplifiers is proceeding. After several meetings on Google Meet and remote reviews, in February we flew to Barcelona for the Distributor Conference, where we presented the concepts we are working on. It was nice to meet live the people that, until then, we had seen only through screens, to feel real interest and to finally be able to toast together.

Even with FABA, the collaboration continues: for those who missed the previous episodes, in December we organized a hackathon to imagine a new accessory for FABA+, their interactive storyteller. Since that day full of ideas and possibilities, at Rawr we have continued to work to focus on the most promising directions and take them to the next level. The concept is taking shape and — we have to say it — we're really excited about it!
It's still too early to show you the result, but we can anticipate something that often happens in design: what was supposed to be an accessory, has become an eco-system of accessories, consistent, scalable and with much more potential.

Like every self-respecting beginning of the year, we too have made the list of good resolutions. Except that instead of joining the gym, we came up with new formats to build. One thing is clear: in 2026 we want to push even harder on Rawr events.
After “Design on Tap” we asked ourselves what we could do again, what kind of meeting opportunities we were interested in creating, what format could work. The answer is: we are working on it, you can keep yourself free between the end of August and the beginning of September.
Then there's another idea that had been going around in our heads for a while and that we're finally starting to take seriously: a podcast (which maybe will become a vodcast, who knows).
After all, we like to talk, to discuss, to meet new people and so we said to ourselves: why not?!
Everything is still work in progress, but the idea seems very Rawr to us.
In short, stay tuned here too.

Another news of 2026 concerns the merch: a new t-shirt and a new sweatshirt coming soon!
We were soooooooo undecided about the color of the sweatshirt, so we asked for the public's help. The social media survey decided the color combo of the year.
The new pieces will arrive around April and will replace current jerseys and sweatshirts, which can be purchased for a little longer on our site... fast before they go out of stock.

We participated in Pizza Design In The Dark, an event organized by Pizza Design together with Uqido.
A blindfolded experience that reminded us of a simple but important thing: designing doesn't just mean watching. In a world that constantly overstimulates us, it was interesting to stop for a moment, listen more and leave room for other senses as well. A different evening than usual, but definitely successful.

And after the pizza, the sandwiches!
At Spazio Cartabianca we organized a sandwich challenge with all the coworkers: 10 participants, 10 sandwiches each... and a lot of hunger!
Our Gio came third. We are proud of her but her position on the podium should be revised because she presented some hot sandwiches (which objectively play in another championship).
Ale came second, with a gourmet sandwich.
The only and undisputed winner was Ema, with an original and above all very good sandwich (we must admit it).
If you want to better understand the level of the competition, go and recover the videos.
As promised, Recappone has become lighter. A recap of the restart, of ideas that are taking shape and of things that are starting to move.
The rest will come.
Thanks for coming this far and until the next Recappone.
