Welcome to the Terms and Conditions page for Rawr Playground.
Here you will find all useful information regarding registration, participation, workshop activation, cancellations, ticket transfer, and participant responsibilities.

Registration for Rawr Playground implies acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

The event is organized and promoted by the non-profit association “Rawr&Co” (hereinafter, “Organizer”), established in accordance with current legislation.

The creative project and artistic direction of the event are curated by Rawr.

1. What is Rawr Playground

Rawr Playground is an intensive group experience, a blend of workshop, hackathon, and co-living, aimed at young designers interested in experimenting, collaborating on design, and working on a creative brief in an immersive environment.

The activity takes place in person, over several consecutive days, according to the program published on the official event landing page.

2. Who it's for

Rawr Playground is open to young designers from various disciplines, including industrial design, UX/UI design, visual design, communication design, and related fields.

To participate, you must meet at least one of the following requirements:

  • bachelor's degree
  • equivalent diploma
  • or a profile consistent with the design sector, if otherwise specified in the official call

The organization reserves the right to select participants based on the criteria outlined on the landing page.

3. Number of Available Spots

Spaces are limited.

The maximum number of participants for the Playground is as indicated on the official event page.

Applications can be submitted by July 12th.

Submitting an application does not automatically guarantee admission.

4. Application and Selection Process

To apply, please complete the official form with the required information:

  • full name
  • email
  • phone number
  • CV link
  • portfolio link
  • brief presentation and motivation for participation

Should the number of applications exceed the available spots, the organizer will make a selection based on the submitted materials and may request an introductory call.

The selection process will consider not only technical skills but also an aptitude for experimentation, collaboration, and participation in a group experience.

Selection results will be communicated to candidates by July 24 at the latest.

5. What registration includes

Unless otherwise specified on the official event page, registration includes:

  • participation in Rawr Playground
  • tutoring and support from coaches
  • access to workshop activities
  • hostel accommodation (from Sunday, August 30 to Friday, September 5)
  • breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • initial welcome aperitif

Unless otherwise specified, alcoholic beverages are not included.

Any dietary requirements, allergies, or restrictions will be collected after the workshop activation is confirmed, to allow the organization to best manage participants' needs.

6. What registration does not include

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, registration does not include:

  • travel expenses to and from the location
  • unspecified local transfers
  • personal insurance
  • personal expenses
  • additional purchases
  • any costs incurred with third parties before the official confirmation of the workshop's activation
  • anything not specified in point 5.

7. Activation

The Rawr Playground event will only be confirmed once the minimum number of participants is reached by the date indicated on the official landing page.

If the workshop is not activated, registered participants will receive a full refund of any amount already paid to the organizer for registration.

The organizer will not be responsible for any costs already incurred by participants with third parties, including but not limited to:

  • flights
  • trains
  • buses
  • rental cars
  • external accommodation
  • other travel bookings

Each participant is responsible for checking the cancellation conditions of independently booked services before the official confirmation of the workshop's activation.

8. Prices and Payment

Participation fees, including any Early Bird and Full Price options, are those indicated on the official landing page.

Registration will be considered valid only after:

  • admission confirmation, if a selection process is foreseen;
  • receipt of payment, according to the methods communicated by the organization.

The organizer reserves the right not to confirm participation if payment is not received by the stated deadlines.

9. Cancellation Policy

In the event of a participant's withdrawal, the following cancellation policy will apply, unless otherwise stated on the official event page.

  • In case of cancellation by July 31stwill be refunded 95% of the amount paid. The remaining 5% will be retained for administrative costs.
  • In case of cancellation after July 31st at 11:59 PM, no refund will be provided.

Refunds, when due, will be processed within a reasonable technical timeframe using the same payment method as the original purchase, unless otherwise required for operational reasons.

10. Program and Content

The Rawr Playground program, including dates, times, activities, coaches, location, and content, may undergo organizational changes before the event begins or during its course, due to logistical, operational, or force majeure reasons.

Any substantial changes will be communicated to participants as soon as possible.

The workshop brief will be communicated according to the methods and timelines set by the organizer.

11. Workshop Language

Unless otherwise specified on the official page, the main language of the workshop will be Italian.

If some activities, guests, or materials are in English or bilingual, participants will be informed in advance when possible.

12. Accommodation and Shared Living

The accommodation provided for participants will be as indicated on the official landing page.

Unless otherwise specified:

  • participants will stay in shared accommodation;
  • Bed and space assignments will be managed by the host facility;
  • The organization will endeavor, where possible, to accommodate practical needs communicated in advance.

Each participant agrees to maintain respectful behavior towards other guests, coaches, staff, the host facility, and shared spaces.

13. Rules of Conduct

By participating in Rawr Playground, each participant agrees to:

  • respect other participants, coaches, staff, and guests;
  • properly use the spaces and materials provided;
  • avoid offensive, discriminatory, aggressive, or harmful behavior towards the group's well-being;
  • respect the rules of the host venue;
  • contribute to creating a collaborative and safe environment.

The organizer reserves the right to terminate the participation of any person whose behavior is incompatible with the smooth running of the experience or with the safety and respect of the group.

In such cases, unless legally required, no refund will be due.

14. Liability

Each participant takes part in Rawr Playground under their own personal responsibility.

The organizer cannot be held responsible, except in cases provided by law, for:

  • theft, loss, or damage to personal belongings;
  • bookings, purchases, or expenses independently incurred with third parties;
  • damages, delays, service disruptions, or non-performance attributable to external suppliers, the host venue, or force majeure;
  • damages resulting from individual participant behavior that does not comply with the event rules or the host venue's regulations.

Participants are responsible for the use of their own work tools, including laptops, electronic devices, and personal materials.

Any health needs, allergies, or relevant conditions must be communicated to the organization only to the extent strictly necessary to ensure safe participation in the event.

15. Intellectual Property and Confidentiality

The intellectual property of materials and projects developed within and during the activities carried out during Rawr Playground remains shared between the participants and Rawr.

By accepting these Terms and Conditions, participants grant Rawr&Co and Rawr Studio a non-exclusive, free, and territorially unlimited license to use, reproduce, publish, and communicate images, excerpts, presentations, and other materials related to projects developed during the workshop, exclusively for documentation, archiving, communication, and promotion purposes of Rawr Playground and related activities.

Any commercial exploitation of the projects must be formally regulated in a separate agreement, involving all project authors and the organization.

Should specific project outputs be developed with substantial and direct creative contribution from the organization or coaches, any different ownership or co-ownership arrangements may be defined separately and in writing.

Non-public information shared during the workshop and clearly identified as confidential must be treated confidentially by participants, coaches, and the organization, unless otherwise authorized by the parties involved.

16. Privacy

Data collected through the application form and during event organization will be processed exclusively for purposes related to Playground management, participant selection, organizational communications, and any administrative requirements.

Personal data collected may include name, surname, email address, phone number, CV, portfolio, and any other information provided by the participant during the application process or event organization.

Information regarding dietary requirements may also be collected, and, only if strictly necessary and voluntarily provided by the data subject, any information relevant to the participant's health or safety during the event.

The data will be processed confidentially and with adequate security measures, with access limited to individuals authorized by the organizer and, where necessary, to suppliers or partners who support event management for purposes strictly related to its execution.

Personal data will not be sold or transferred to third parties for marketing purposes.

The data will be retained for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes indicated above and, where required, for any additional period provided by applicable law.

The data subject has the right to request access to their personal data, the rectification of inaccurate data, the erasure of data in cases provided by law, the restriction of processing, objection to processing where applicable, and the withdrawal of any consent given.

17. Materials, Photos, and Communication

During Rawr Playground, photo, video, or other documentation and communication materials may be created.

Unless otherwise managed via a release form or dedicated module:

such materials may be used by Rawr&Co and Rawr Studio for storytelling, archiving, promotion, and communication purposes related to the project;

Rawr&Co and Rawr Studio commit to using them in a manner consistent with the event's context.

18. Changes to the Terms and Conditions

The organizer reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time, where necessary for organizational, regulatory, or operational reasons.

The version published on the website at the time of consultation is to be considered valid, unless otherwise communicated to already registered participants.
